Dr. Wolfgang Pfeiffer
Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bhutan for Germany and Managing Director of Bhutan-Hilfe e.V.

Since his first trip to Bhutan in 1996, through a Bhutanese patient in Germany , Dr. med. Pfeiffer has been involved in humanitarian work. Together with the artist Ronald Bentz he founded the Bhutan-Hilfe e.V. in 1999. In 2003, His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, father of the reigning King of Bhutan, appointed Dr. Pfeiffer as Honorary Consul. In 2013, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit by the Federal Republic of Germany for his high personal commitment. In December 2019 Dr. Wolfgang Pfeiffer was awarded National Order of Merit Gold by Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, the 5th king of Bhutan, in recognition of his services to Bhutan.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Klaußner
Entrepreneur and President of Bhutan-Hilfe e.V.

Prof. Klaußner accompanied Dr. Pfeiffer to Bhutan for the first time in 2015. Since then, he has been getting projects "rolling" in Bhutan. Prof. Dr. Wi.-Ing. Alexander Klaußner is managing partner of several outdoor companies in Germany and Austria, as well as an agency for live communication in Switzerland. His main areas of activity in the consulting field include organizational and personnel development, corporate development, team building and personnel management. Since 2007, he has taught as a professor of sports and event management at the MHMK Munich campus and as a guest lecturer, for example, at the Chur, Kufstein and Nürtingen Universities of Applied Sciences and the Lake Constance Campus. Alexander Klaußner is passionate about water and mountain sports. Since 2017, Prof. Klaußner has been President of Bhutan-Hilfe e.V.

Roland Bentz
Artist and 2nd Chairman of Bhutan-Hilfe e.V.

Roland Bentz traveled to Bhutan for the first time in 1993. In 1997 he moved into a studio in the capital Thimphu. Numerous painting trips to Bhutan followed, also in the service of international understanding. He has a deep friendship with the retired Lt. Colonel Dasho Kado, former commander of the Royal Protection Forces. Roland Bentz has exhibited over 40 times nationally and internationally and has designed numerous catalogs. He lives and works in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Roland Bentz is a founding member of Bhutan-Hilfe e.V. and currently 2nd chairman.
